LEUMAS Relocation Specialist

Job Description: This candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining all phases of the tenant relocation process under the direction of our Relocation Coordinator (Nate Brooks). Specific areas of responsibility will include tenant counseling, relocation benefit distributions, identifying new housing options for residents, receipt processing, resident relations, and landlord relations. General tasks and requirements will include but not be limited to the following: - Responsibility for weekly written and oral reports on the progress of the relocation. - Daily face-to-face and phone-based tenant counseling to help residents navigate the Section 8 leasing process. - Responsible for maintaining accurate and well-organized tenant files for the relocation. - Identify quality housing options for residents and assist them with their application process. - Ensure that all relocation benefit checks are requested and distributed to residents in a timely and efficient manner. - Submit a benefit check request spreadsheet (Intermediate Excel) to the corporate office on a weekly basis. - Scan all benefit receipts to the corporate on a weekly basis. With the support of our corporate them, the specialist will consult, meet with, follow up with, and relocate 30-40 tenants. The candidate is responsible for scheduling face to face meetings with each tenant to discuss the relocation process and discuss their options. After the meetings, the candidate is responsible for inputting all data gathered from the meeting into Excel spreadsheet. The project will be completed once every tenant is successfully relocated and/or has confirmed they are not interested in utilizing Leumas' relocation resources. Leumas will provide the Relocation Specialist with a listing of Section 8 landlords that have immediate availability. Accordingly, the specialist can provide a copy to each the tenant. Furthermore, the Relocation Specialist will be given a handbook that they can refer to if they have any questions about their tasks or the relocation process.
